As a new breed of creative music agency, NUE works with incredible artists, world-class brands, and break through music tech companies to form a new approach to talent development, deal-making, and brand building. Partnering with Wale since his mixtape days to help him become a hip-hop superstar, and building a launch strategy and campaign for Spotify to make them the go-to music streaming site for every college student are just two of countless “they did what??”- type projects that NUE has facilitated.

Leading the way into the next era of the music industry, in which records and tours are just a part of the story, NUE can bring deals to players in both the music and tech scenes, helping artists make the most of new tech platforms, and helping tech platforms cement their place on the music map.

And of course, we jumped at the opportunity to partner with NUE to build a new brand and site cool enough for Inc. Mag’s 3rd fastest growing Media Company in America. Because if there’s anything we like as much as food, it’s music. Crafting a presence, online and off, that would attract top talent, brands, and music tech companies alike – with the goal of bringing them together into a beautiful, breathing digital harmony – was a challenge we loved digging into.

“Our task was to build a brand that showcases the big things that NUE is doing, which goes far beyond just artist representation,” designer Mike McVicar comments. “To do this, we created a custom word-mark and a high impact brand system that positions NUE as a full service creative music agency. By using bold typography and visceral imagery, we hoped to communicate the amplified voice that NUE gives to every musician they work with. The dominant colors in the brand, gold and purple, traditionally represent royalty, and now the seal of excellence that NUE has come to be known for. We combined all of these elements into an impactful online experience that includes a fully responsive website.”

Working with artists like Funkmaster Flex, brands such as Nike and Virgin, and starting successful ventures like #CRWN and SoundCTRL, Nue has undoubtedly shown its prowess in the music industry. And we can’t wait to see what else they have up their sleeve as they continue to redefine the category, creating new opportunities and eye opening experiences for the modern music lover and maker.
