A shout out to Vurb who launched their new app today and is armed to be a game changer for how we find, plan, and do on mobile.
If you stop to think about it, getting things done on mobile isn’t a seamless experience. Apps are designed to deliver the optimal mobile experience, but the apps you’ve downloaded live in individual silos from each other and from other mobile tools you use every day such as text messaging and mobile web.
To help visualize the disjointed experience on mobile, we developed an infographic for the Vurb media kit in support of today’s launch, which has already been featured in TechCrunch.
By illustrating the challenge of getting things on mobile, we are able to serve up Vurb as the new solution.
So what is Vurb?
Vurb is the Action Engine that let’s you find, plan, and do— all in one place. Whatever you’re looking for on your mobile device – from restaurants, to bars, to movies, to music – Vurb serves up Cards that connect you to the most relevant information and tools from apps like Yelp, Foursquare, OpenTable and Uber. You no longer have to switch between different apps – everything you need is in one spot.
To support today’s launch, we developed a new brand identity, iconography, proprietary graphics and gave their website a facelift to best tout Vurb features such as the ability to organize Cards into shareable Decks. As Vurb is establishing a new category of it’s own, we collaborated with their team to define a new messaging system which was implemented across key touch points such as their Apple App Store page, press release, and in-app onboarding experience.
