Tendril
Indoor gardening surged during Covid, driven largely by a younger generation of plant parents. But the market serving them hadn't caught up: commodity products from indistinguishable brands, built with an industrial approach to something deeply personal. Because caring for a plant isn't really about the plant. It's emotional, even biological. Nourishing something small keeps us nourished too.
Tendril needed a brand that felt as caring as the act of gardening itself. We built the world around the product's own self-watering mechanism, the very thing that lets a plant thrive on optimal care, and let that idea shape everything from tone to visual language. Illustrator Audrey Helen Weber's watercolors, inspired by the flow of water through the planter, became the heart of the brand system. Paired with charming verse, they gave Tendril an exuberant, whimsical presence that let people indulge their plants with the best care, so their plants could keep caring for them.
